Credit Life/Credit Disability Insurance For a low monthly fee added to your loan, credit life/disability insurance pays the insured balance of your loan, up to the policy maximum. In the event of your death, benefits are paid to your credit union to pay off the balance of your loan. If the benefits are more than the balance, the difference will be paid to your beneficiary named by you, if any, or to your estate. In the event you become totally disabled by sickness or an accident, credit disability insurance pays your loan payments up to the policy maximum. The insurance contains certain benefit maximums and certain benefit exclusions. Ask your loan officer for full policy details on your next visit.
