What Beats 0% Financing? Take the Rebate and 1.9% from Coosa Pines!
You Can Do Better than 0%
Fewer than 1 out of 10 people who want 0% financing get 0% rates.  And if you take the 0%, you give up the rebate -- which usually is the better deal, when combined with low Coosa Pines FCU interest rates.  Now is a great time to buy, because CPFCU interest rates are even lower than before, starting at just 1.90% APR!*
 
Here's an example:
Purchasing a $25,000 car and financing at 0% APR for 48 months, the monthly payment would be about $520 and pay off would be the full $25,000 financed.

FRAUD ALERT: Debit/Credit Card Compromise at MAPCO Express, Inc.
MAPCO Express, Inc. Makes Security Breach Announcement
 
Mapco Express, Inc. retail fuel and convenience stores have alerted customers of a payment card (credit or debit) information breach that may have exposed customers to card fraud.  Mapco stores located in Tennessee, northern and central Alabama, Arkansas, northern Georgia, Kentucky, northern Mississippi, and Virginia include:

  • MAPCO Mart®
  • East Coast®
  • Discount Food Mart™
  • Fast Food and Fuel™
  • Delta Express®
  • Favorite Market®
Third party hackers used malware to access payment card processing systems in Mapco stores between March 19 - 25, April 14 - 15, and April 20 - 21, 2013.  The systems transmit card information used in processing approval of transactions.  The hackers may have stolen information that could be used to make fraudulent credit and debit card transactions.
 
NOTE: Coosa Pines Federal Credit Union systems have NOT been hacked.

CPFCU Offers Surcharge-Free ATM Access Around Alabama & Across the Country
 
Coosa Pines members can withdraw cash from ATMs across the country without a fee.  The credit union is part of the Money Pass and Credit Union 24’s CU Here ATM networks.
 
Members can use the ATM locator on CU 24’s website (www.cu24.com/ATMLocator) to search for surcharge-free ATMs by address or zip code.  Of the results, members should look for the Money Pass or CU Here logos, as shown below. 
 
 
 
For example, a quick web search of free ATMs within 10 miles of Sylacauga gives a list of 11 locations. Of those, 4 are part of the Money Pass or CU 24/CU Here networks. Expanding to 50 miles, there are 255 results, 133 of which are free to Coosa Pines members.
 
The ATMs may be located at gas stations, financial institutions, shopping centers, or even cultural and entertainment venues like the Barber Motorsports Park, Sloss Furnace, and the BJCC.
