Incentive for the Best and Brightest to Pursue Their Education Goals
Coosa Pines Federal Credit Union has been serving members for over 60 years. The credit union was created in 1950 by people who wanted to pool their money to loan to their friends and coworkers in times of need. CPFCU member-owners are still serving each other and their communities, although on a much larger scale.
To that end, Coosa Pines Federal Credit Union will be awarding five $1,000 scholarships to graduating high school members planning to pursue post-secondary education in the fall of 2013. The credit union is committed to improving the communities it serves by funding scholarships to incent the best and the brightest students to pursue their education goals.
Judging will be conducted by a Scholarship Selection Committee. The scholarships will be awarded to students who exemplify credit union values of personal and civic responsibility through their grades, extracurricular activities, essay responses, letter(s) of recommendation, and/or community service.
CPFCU members graduating high school in 2013 are encouraged to apply.* Application deadline is Friday, April 12, 2013.
