Convenience Is The KEY

Coosa Pines Federal Credit Union is affiliated with the Credit Union Service Centers network to offer convenient locations for you to make transactions anywhere in the U.S. For a listing of locations coast to coast, visit the web site www.creditunion.net. The CUSC employees are able to perform transactions such as deposits, withdrawals and transfers to your Coosa Pines accounts. Because we are not the only credit union using these services, there are a few procedures that are different from visiting one of our branches. To use the network properly, use this checklist to make your visit easy and efficient. When visiting a CUSC location, please:

  • Complete a deposit/withdrawal slip before approaching teller windows
  • Provide a valid state issued drivers license or non-drivers license
  • Verify and sign a completed receipt
  • Place a right thumbprint on a check over $50.00 to be deposited or cashed


The following transactions can be performed at a CUSC location:
  • Cash or check deposits to share or share draft accounts
  • Cash or check withdrawals from share or share draft accounts
  • Cash recognized payroll checks
  • Statement prints (last 10 transactions)
  • Transfers
  • Loan payments
  • Purchase of official checks, money orders, travelers checks and theme park tickets
  • Free notary service
  • 24 hours ATM
  • (withdrawals, transfers and balance inquiries only)
  • VISA Cash Advances (Stand-alone only) $2 fee
  • IRNet-wiring service (Hoover S.C. only)


The following services cannot be provided at a CUSC location:
  • Accounts cannot be opened or closed
  • Non-members cannot cash checks drawn on participating credit union members accounts


CHECK POLICY:
Your credit union will be contacted on the following types of checks. The credit union will have the option to place a hold on the check(s). If the credit union is closed, an off-line transaction will be completed until the credit union can be notified the next business day.

Your credit union will be contacted on the following types of checks:
  • Local Checks ­ If your account does not have the funds available for the amount of the check
  • Non-local Checks
  • Unfamiliar Business or Payroll Checks
  • Insurance Drafts
  • Counter Checks
  • Cashier Checks/Official Checks
  • Money Orders


Off-Line Policy:
An off-line transaction will be completed when the data processing system of your credit union or the service center is down. The following is a list of transactions performed during an off-line mode:
  • Deposits-unlimited (unless check hold policy applies)
  • Withdrawals
  • Loan payments ­ Unlimited


If an out-of-state credit union's system is down, only deposits will be accepted, no withdrawals or check cashing is allowed.

When using CUSC in Alabama, you may experience different policies from your credit union's policies. Policies are stricter due to limited availability of information to the tellers, and to safeguard member's accounts. Stand-alone Service Center hours are Mon.-Fri., 9:00 a.m. ­ 7:00 p.m. and Sat., 9:00 a.m. ­ 5:00 p.m.
