Due to increase in card fraud, the Credit Union is blocking pinless transactions.
Recently there has been a surge in debit card fraud affecting members of Coosa Pines FCU as well as the customers of other area financial institutions. One of the compromises that you might have heard about is with Target stores.
In an effort to protect our members and the credit union itself, Coosa Pines will require you to use your pin with debit card purchases. The most common form of debit card fraud is pinless transactions. Requiring members to use their pin will greatly reduce their chances of being affected by fraud.
If you feel your card has been compromised, or you suspect that you have been a victim of fraud, please call or visit your local Coosa Pines FCU branch.
